Food Education Action St. John's (FEASt) presents an afternoon of gardening and local food activities to get people in the St. John's region excited and prepared for the growing season. Whether you're thinking of growing your first herb plant in a container or you're a seasoned gardener with a yard of veggies planned, there's going to be something at FEASt Fest for you!

When: Saturday April 16th, 11am-3pm

Where: St. Thomas Church, 8 Military Rd, St. John's

Suggested Donation of $5-10 to help FEASt keep running more events year-round.

FEASt Fest is family-friendly with activities for all ages.

There will be:

* A free delicious lunch! (Can't beet that!)

* A Q & A panel of gardening gurus to answer your questions about growing food, including gardening expert Ross Traverse and inspiring folks from community gardens across the St. John's region

* Displays from local community groups on these and more topics: - Seed saving (Matt Middleton of RCR! and Pioneering in Paradise) - Lead-safe gardening (Safer Soil) - Bee boxes - Vermicompost (MUN Botanical Garden) - Healthy eating (Daybreak) - Raised beds (Stella Burry) - Sprouting & wheatgrass - Square foot gardening - Chicken coops

* Some displays may have items for sale to help get your garden growing.
