Two thought-provoking public forums are happening this week in St. John's and Corner Brook to make the connection between global and local food security. Get the global picture from Robert Fox, Executive Director of Oxfam Canada and then hear about local issues from Kristie Jameson (Executive Director of the Food Security Network NL) in St. John's and Chan Wiseman (Chair of Newfoundland and Labrador Young Farmers' Forum) in Corner Brook.
Robert Fox will speak about the famine in East Africa and what needs to happen if we are to ensure this famine is the last famine.
Kristie Jameson and Chan Wiseman will talk about what needs to be done to address issues of food security in Newfoundland and Labrador.
