Food First NL Inc. invites you to submit a proposal for our annual audit starting fiscal year ending March 31, 2024. Contract period: next three fiscal years starting 2023-2024.
About Us
Food First NL works with communities in Newfoundland and Labrador to advance everyone’s right to food in Newfoundland and Labrador. Food First NL’s Vision is a province where everyone can eat with joy and dignity.
We are a provincial, non-profit organization that collaborates with a network of 300 like-minded organizations and individuals to improve food security in NL. Further information can be found at www.foodfirstnl.ca/
Food First NL’s first fiscal year will end on March 31, 2024. Food First NL has 13 full time and one part time employee. Bookkeeping is managed in-house and records are kept in Sage 50. Food First NL has an approximate operating budget of $1.5M and does not engage in fundraising.
Service Requirements
ASNFPO financial statements audit;
Management letter;
Presentation of audit findings to the Board on or before August 31 each year;
Advice regarding any and all changes in accounting and reporting requirements;
Proposal Contents
• Firm’s experience with the not-for-profit and social enterprise sector;
• List of individuals responsible for the audit;
• One or more references from a current not-for-profit client;
• Fee structure for services.
Food First NL reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and the lowest or any proposal will not necessarily be accepted.
