Pippy-Park-Spring-2010-Lecture-Poster-FINAL-WEB.png

A Free Public Lecture hosted by the Friends of Pippy Park and the Pippy Park Heritage Committee Pippy Park is home to many food-growing initiatives, including not less than three community gardens, a commercial farm (our good friends at Mount Scio Farm), a botanical garden with wonderful hands-on gardening programs, and the Friends' own family garden program.

As an outreach initiative, this lecture is being held outside the Park:

Where: third floor "Rocket Room" at the Rocket Bakery (formerly Auntie Crae's) at 272 Water Street.

When: 7:30 pm, Tuesday, May 10th

Refreshments will be served following the lecture.

Pass this on if you're in the St. John's area!

Spring Meetings- Get Involved!

Spring Meetings- Get Involved!

Every year non-profit and co-operative community groups need to have an annual general meeting (AGM). These meetings are really important to the functioning of the organizations. If you've been thinking about getting more involved with your local food initiative, then AGMs are a good time to check things out. Find out more about the upcoming Western Environment Centre, Food Education Action St. John's (FEASt), and the St. John's Farmers' Market Co-operative annual general meetings.
